Breath of the Dragon

Breath of the Dragon

3rd-level necromancy
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Components: V, S, M (a pinch of dust taken from a defeated wight or vampire)
Duration: Permanent until discharged
This spell grants you the ability to spew a breath attack similar to a dragon’s breath weapon. You gain a pool of 10d6 that you can use as damage dice in your attacks.
As an action, you can breathe a 60-foot cone of fire or cold, or a 60-footlong, 5-foot-wide line of acid or lightning. Each creature in the affected area takes damage, or half damage with a successful Dexterity saving throw.
When you use the breath weapon, you can expend up to five dice from the damage pool at one time; the breath weapon does that much acid, fire, cold, or lightning damage, as appropriate. You must decide how many dice to use before targets make their saving throws.
The spell ends when no dice are left in the damage pool.

At Higher Levels. For each spell slot used higher than 3rd level, add 2d6 to the damage pool and 1d6 to the maximum dice you can expend in a single attack.
